Excellent communication and command in English (written & verbal) Teaching experience in a TVET College, ability to teach PSSD/engineering drawing, qualified Artisans and/or industry experience will serve as a recommendation. Computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet); must be registered with SACE. Competencies: Good planning, administration, organising & presentation skills.
DutiesPrepare lesson plans and lecture students in compliance with college academic plans and DHET ICASS guidelines, timetable, and college quality management systems. Ability to teach Plating Structural Steel Drawing; Engineering Drawing and including Mathematics, Engineering Science and subjects related to the course. Assess students and maintain assessment records in compliance with college policies, processes and procedures. Continuously monitor and analyse students’ performance and provide critical feedback in an objective and professional manner. Ability to relate to students in a professional manner, to create a conducive classroom environment and to ensure efficient classroom management and discipline of students. Management of student’s attendance and administration documents. Work collaboratively with student support services for student development.

RequirementsGoldfields TVET College hereby invites members of the public to nominate suitable, qualified and experienced people of good standing in the community, with a good understanding of the functioning of the business sector, SMME incubation, Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College, and the importance of partnerships between TVET colleges and industry, to serve in the Advisory Board of the Goldfield TVET College Centre of Entrepreneurship & Rapid Incubation, funded by the Department of Small Business Development through The SEDA Technology Programme. Nominees must be persons with leadership qualities; an understanding of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and management of public budget and expenditure; and an understanding of the government priorities and SMME developmental agenda. Preference will be given to persons with a broader spectrum of competencies in the field of SMME development, business, finance, marketing, information technology, corporate governance and human resource management experience to contribute to the strategic direction of the Post School Education and Training (PSET) system. The term of office of members will be five (5) years and the CFERI Advisory Board shall meet at least four (4) times per annum.
