Academic Services is the core business unit of the College and is led by the Deputy Principal: Academic Services, Dr. Rachere Radile. He is responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of all academic functions across the College. His role is crucial in maintaining the quality and integrity of teaching and learning, ensuring that the College remains responsive to industry needs, and that students receive education and training that meets national standards.

All campus managers report directly to the Deputy Principal: Academic Services. This includes Welkom Campus, which focuses on Business Studies; Tosa Campus, which specialises in Engineering Studies; and the Skills and Innovation Centre, which is dedicated to Occupational Programmes and Learnerships. Each campus offers a unique academic experience aligned to the College’s broader mission of producing skilled, employable graduates. The unit oversees the implementation of the National Certificate Vocational (NCV), Report 191 (NATED), Pre-Vocational Learning Programmes (PLP), and accredited occupational programmes.

Academic Services is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of curriculum, the monitoring of student performance, and the support of lecturers through professional development initiatives. The unit works closely with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), SETAs, QCTO, and industry partners to ensure that the programmes offered are relevant and responsive to labour market demands. Academic Services also plays a key role in quality assurance, internal moderation, assessment planning, and curriculum review.
