Office of the Principal

Supporting the Principal is a capable administrative team that includes his Personal Assistant (PA) and the Senior Officer in the Office of the Principal. This team plays a crucial role in managing the office’s administrative functions, facilitating communication with internal and external stakeholders, and coordinating strategic meetings and reporting obligations. The office also acts as the point of coordination for Council and Academic Board meetings, ensuring that strategic decisions are implemented across all campuses and units.

Mr. Mahlangu’s leadership is characterised by his emphasis on inclusive decision-making, stakeholder collaboration, and student-centred development. He has been instrumental in positioning the College as a key player in the Free State TVET landscape through advocacy, community engagement, and building partnerships with industry, SETAs, and local government. His vision is focused on producing graduates who are not only academically capable but also socially conscious and employable.

Through his stewardship, Goldfields TVET College continues to expand its programme offerings, improve student throughput rates, and enhance its infrastructure to support teaching and learning. The Principal’s Office plays a pivotal role in aligning the institution with the goals of the National Development Plan, ensuring that the College contributes meaningfully to economic growth and skills development in South Africa.
