RequirementsMinimum Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent, Minimum of 2 years ina cleaning environment, and driver's licence. Ideal experience in leading a team is advantageous. Knowledge of facilities policies, knowledge of relevant legislation, prescripts, procedure and knowledge of hygiene. Safety standards and management skills and Competencies: Attention to detail, sense of urgency, able to work under pressure, be flexible and adaptable, able to work independently, good communication skills. Prepared to stay at campus.
DutiesSupervise all general workers and cleaners. Perform administrative and related duties. Provide guidance and advice to cleaners and groundsmen. Develop and update the cleaning schedule for the cleaners. Maintenance of the campus security, locking up and opening of the campus during events, on weekends, weekdays, and holidays. Ensure that the campus building, grounds, tools, and equipment are well maintained. Oversee cleaning services of offices, corridors, classrooms, workshops, restrooms, elevators, and boardrooms. Manage and ensure the maintenance of cleaning materials and equipment. Ensure maintenance and replacement of the cleaning machines and equipment. Make requisition and issue cleaning materials. Report maintenance and safety concems to the campus manager on a day-to-day basis. Serve as a messenger for the campus, maintain cleanliness of campus vehicles, and drive to support the campus operations. When checking assets, ensure that equipment is kept in good condition and repaired and serviced when required. Maintain health and safety systems on a campus. Conduct evaluation of staff performance in terms of Performance management development system.
