Tiger Brands endowed Tau the following prizes: A year of tuition and book fees paid, R5000.00 in cash to enjoy as she pleases, three copies of the Great South African cookbook to share with her family and friends, a video clip of the lead up to the Tiger Brands Great South African Student Chef Cook-Out. Ms. Tau has also been awarded a six months Internship Programme from the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
The College would like to extend a word of appreciation to both Tiger Brands and Ms. Dimakatso Tau for the prizes received on behalf of the College viz: R5000.00 of kitchen equipment, and a six-month sponsorship worth of tangible products to be utilized in the College Kitchen.
The College would like to wish Ms. Tau a thrive on! towards her immediate endeavors that she will be embarking on, and hopes that she will juggle her Studies and Internship Programme at Air Chefs well to prove again that she is indeed the Cream of the Crop.

Speech by the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Training, Mr Mduduzi Manana, MP, at the passing of the Higher Education Bill at the National Assembly, Parliament, 25 May
Motibe Ntombizanele Julia is a former student of Goldfields TVET College. She enrolled at the College in 2009 for NCV (Electrical Infrastructure and Construction); and successfully completed her level 2 and 3. On the other hand, she could not finish her Level 4 studies due to peculiar problems that arose during her studies. In 2012 she enrolled for Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) at the Central University of Technology (Bloemfontein Campus); which she now holds a National Diploma.
Motibe credits Goldfields TVET College for the Technical and Vocational Education and Training coupled with Recognition of Prior Learning she received from the College before advancing her studies at Central University of Technology. For this reason, she eagerly affirms that she gained a superlative advantage against her parallels who followed the mainstream education, because she was already exposed into trade simulation, since the College operates in a simulated enterprise setting that affords the College students an opportunity and lead in whatever programmers they are enrolled in.
Her message is that; she wishes that all students who are embarked on NVC programmes take their studies seriously for the prime motive that: these programmes are valuable for one’s preparation and readiness for the occupational route. She further conveys her gratitude to the Goldfields TVET College Community and pronounces that they have made her what she is today.
The College wishes Motibe all the best of luck in her future endeavors and is proud to have her as one of the College alumnus.

More locally; the College is concerned with its relationship flanked by administrative bodies in local government and the society in which it resides and operates.
Of our paramount interest, we deem developing and upholding a good relationship concerning all stakeholders associated with the College as essential in order for the College to address its Corporate Social Responsibilities.
