Meet the new Deputy Chairperson for the World Skills South Africa Provincial Sub Committee
Brilliant Lebohang Ledimo is Head of Department for Technical Engineering Occupational Programmes at Goldfields TVET College. She was recently elected as the Deputy Chairperson for the World Skills South Africa Provincial Sub Committee.
South Africa is the member of World Skills Competition which hosts artisanal skills around the world bi-annually and the next competition will be hosted by China in 2022. The purpose of the WSSA Provincial Sub- Committee is to develop, co- ordinate and decide on all World Skills South Africa activities in the province.
That includes the coordinating the world Skills South Africa competitions within the province in collaboration with the National World Skills South Africa. As the Deputy Chairperson of this Sub Committee she strongly believes that skills changes the lives of the youth, creates opportunities and connects communities.
Her Principle is that when you work-hard with an objective in mind, nothing can stop you from reaching up to your destined goal. Her vision is to see the Free State province actively participating in the WSSA provincial and national competitions that are held annually for young people to showcase their skills on various chosen trades.
She wants to witness WSSA mandate being carried out with diligence and its footprint manifested in all TVET’s Colleges and Technical high Schools of the province.
As Goldfields Tvet College we would like to congratulate Mme Ledimo on her brilliant work and wish her the best of luck in her new role.
