HAIRDRESSING ARPL & TRADE TEST
Goldfields TVET College (Welkom Campus) is now accredited by QCTO and Services SETA (Quality Parther) as a Hairdressing ARPL & Trade Test Centre. Interested persons who are already practicing in the Hairdressing industry may apply in order to undergo the necessary steps towards qualifying as Artisans in Hairdressing.

The adage quoted above plainly designates a story of young woman by the name of Juanita Letsoara, a former student at Goldfields TVET College who was born in the early 90s in a small town of Bothaville-Free State. Juanita unfortunately lost both her parents untimely. She firstly lost her mother in 2006, subsequent to that, her father passed on in 2010. After being unsuccessful in her matric studies, she then stayed at home for a period of 2 years. Coming from a very religious background, it was during this time that she realised that she had to do something with her life and remembered that she was raised way better than a defeatist she had become.

Women’s Month Message from the Principal Goldfields TVET College supports commemoration of Women’s month as a tribute to women who marched to the Union Buildings on 09 August 1956 in protest against the extension of Pass Laws to women. The South African Government declared August as women’s month and 9 August is celebrated annually as Women’s Day. Since the advent of democracy and freedom, South Africa has seen a number of women taking up leadership positions in areas previously dominated by men.
